Children and Youth Christian Education

Sunday School

Infant to Pre-Kindergarten

Child care is provided in the Nursery for infants though Pre-K during both worship services and the Sunday School hour.   Pagers are available to alert parents should any issue arise.

Kindergarten through 5th Grade

There are two different classes for this age group:   Kindergarten through 2nd grade and 3rd grade through 5th grade.  Both groups meet together a short time for singing and to watch a DVD story together.  The classes then break into different rooms, and there is time for discussion about the story and work on crafts and our worksheets.  Sometimes classes are combined for the entire Sunday School Hour depending on the activity for that particular Sunday.

Junior High and Senior High

This class helps junior high school and senior high school students share and grow in their faith.  The class features videos, activities, and discussions on current events and popular culture.

Children Worship & Wonder

Our Children Worship & Wonder program is available during the Discovery Worship Service for children ages 4 through the 2nd grade.  Children begin worship in the sanctuary with their family and leave after the Children’s Sermon for storytelling and activities in the Chapel on the main level.

Visit the Children Worship & Wonder page to learn more about this wonderful Children’s program.

Confirmation Class

Confirmation Class prepares the youth for membership in the church.  The class is open to all youth who are in the 8th Grade (or older) wishing to join St. Paul’s.  The next series of Confirmation Classes have not been scheduled.  Please consult the Upcoming Events section of this website for actual class dates.

In addition to worship and class sessions, a one-on-one mentoring program pairs an adult member of the congregation with each confirmand.  Field trips are planned to Uspiritus in Louisville, KY and to Merom.   Service work will include the preparation of a meal at the UCS Day Shelter.  For these field trips, parental permission is required.
