Children and Youth Christian Education

Sunday School

Nursery    Infant to Pre-Kindergarten

Child care is provided in the Nursery for infants though Pre-K during both worship services and the Sunday School hour.  At least two adults (one on staff) stay with the children.  Pagers are available to alert parents should any issue arise.

The JAM Kids    Kindergarten through 5th Grade

The JAM Kids (Jesus and Me) are made up of two different classes: Kindergarten through 2nd grade, and 3rd grade through 5th grade.  We meet together a short time for singing, and we watch a DVD story together.  We then break into different rooms where we have time for discussion about the story and work on crafts and our worksheets.  Sometimes we combine classes for the entire Sunday School Hour depending on the activity for that particular Sunday.

IMPACT   Middle School

IMPACT provides  action-packed learning every Sunday.  This is hands-on, creative way of learning the basics about our faith.  The lessons taught help to give the kids a leg-up when it comes time for Confirmation in 8th grade.

180 – Turn to Christ    High School

180 – Turn to Christ (formerly known as Senior High) helps high school students share and grow in their faith.  The class features videos, activities, and discussions on current events and popular culture.

Children Worship & Wonder

Our Children Worship & Wonder program is available during the Discovery Worship Service for children ages 4 through the 2nd grade.  Children begin worship in the sanctuary with their family and leave after the Children’s Sermon for storytelling and activities in a special children’s classroom on the lower level.

Visit the Children Worship & Wonder page to learn more about this wonderful Children’s program.

Confirmation Class

Confirmation Class prepares the youth for membership in the church.  The class is open to all youth who are in the 8th Grade (or older) wishing to join St. Paul’s.  Our next series of Confirmation Classes will start on a date yet to be determined.  Please consult the Upcoming Events section of this website for actual class dates.

In addition to worship and class sessions, a one-on-one mentoring program pairs an adult member of the congregation with each confirmand.  Field trips are planned to Uspiritus in Louisville, KY and to Merom.   Service work will include the preparation of a meal at the UCS Day Shelter.  For these field trips, parental permission is required.
